HOW TO MAKE SPICY HONEY-GRILLED SQUID

Materials:
- 1/2 kg squid (peeled and cleaned and then kneaded with lime juice
- 2 tablespoons oyster sauce
- 2 tablespoons ketchup
- 2 tablespoons sambal sauce
- 1 tablespoon honey
- 1 teaspoon sweet soy sauce
- Salt
- pepper
- Margarine
Fine seasoning:
- 4 cloves shallots
- 2 cloves garlic
- 6-8 red curly chilies (can be mixed with cayenne pepper)
- 1 cm ginger
How to make:
- marination of squid with lime juice, salt & pepper to taste
- meanwhile sauté the spices until fragrant, put all the ketchup, oyster sauce, sambal sauce and honey ( give a little salt if still less salty)
- add squid, stir and cook until squid releases its water and its size shrinks ( ±2 minutes)
- remove the squid and drain ( usually still out the water)
- cook the remaining seasoning until it thickens and the water content runs out and then turn off the heat.
- mix squid into seasoning, mix well, burn in pan that has been smeared with margarine for a while until the seasoning is caramelized
- Serve
Note:
cook this squid for a while yaa, so after cooking with seasoning I lift it first so that it is not overcooked. If overcooked squid becomes a lot.
