How to Make BANANA BREAD
Ingredients:
- 1 3/4 cups (230 grams) of flour
- 1/2 cup (100 grams) granulated sugar
- 1/4 cup (30 grams) palm sugar powder
- 1 teaspoon baking powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 large eggs, beaten loose
- 1/2 cup (113 grams) butter/margarine, melt and chill
- 450 grams of ripe cavendish banana crush with fork
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 180°C. Prepare a baking sheet( me:23x13x7) grease the base and sides with butter, sprinkle with a little flour. Set aside. If pake loaf pan yg nonstick / non-stick, no need to sprinkle flour.
2. In a rather large bowl/basin, stir and sift the flour, baking powder, baking soda and salt. Add the granulated sugar and ground palm sugar. Mix well. Set aside.
3. In another bowl, mix the banana, egg, melted butter and vanilla. Mix well. Put in the flour mixture and stir gently with a rubber spatula. Stir just until it mixes, do not have to until soft and smooth.
4. Pour into a baking dish. Bake in the oven for 60 minutes or until cooked and browned (adjust to each oven). Perform a puncture test with a toothpick or a clean stick.
5. Banana bread ready to be served
